Folic Acid Forte Hevert Injection – Fast and Targeted Support for Severe Folic Acid Deficiency
Folic acid (vitamin B9) is essential for numerous metabolic functions in the human body, particularly for cell division, DNA synthesis, red blood cell production, and homocysteine metabolism. A deficiency in folic acid can result in anemia, impaired immune and nerve function, and increased cardiovascular risk.
Folic Acid Forte Hevert injection provides high-dose folic acid (20 mg per 2 ml ampoule) for the effective treatment of folic acid deficiency when oral supplementation is not possible or not sufficient—especially in dialysis patients or when rapid repletion is needed. The injectable form ensures immediate bioavailability and rapid therapeutic effect.
This medicine is administered intramuscularly (i.m.) or intravenously (i.v.), typically 1–3 times per week, as prescribed. It is especially suited for cases where high folic acid demand or impaired gastrointestinal absorption (e.g. chronic diarrhea, malabsorption, alcohol abuse, medication interference) prevents oral efficacy.
Important Note: Folic acid must not be used in isolated vitamin B12 deficiency or in cases of megaloblastic anemia of unknown origin without prior diagnostic clarification, as it may mask B12 deficiency and contribute to neurological damage.
Folic Acid Forte Hevert Injection is vegan-friendly and free from preservatives, gluten, and lactose.
